The Rules
Here is a summary of AK liquor laws as we understand them. Review the scenarios to see what we can do.
Here's the Skinny:
Be Safe!
A little liquid courage makes parties a lot of fun. Too much and it can turn "not fun" fast. Rule #1: have a safe way home. For those who need a little help, check out my friends at RecoverAlaska.org.
Backyard Parties & Weddings:
Safety is always the first rule. Other than that, we can easily provide beer, wine and some bartending services for your party without need of any permits. Since our people all have TAPS cards, we can serve your drinks for you. We can be a party in a tin can for most small backyard parties - a one stop shop to throw a shindig. For larger weddings, we can work with your wedding planner to alleviate any worries. We don't have a alcohol license so cannot sell you the beer, but we can coordinate to get the alcohol from you, keep it cool and deliver to your event.
Fundraiser
Non-profits are allowed to profit from the sale of beer and wine with some regulations. We can help guide you through the process of attaining the special events permit which can be a little tricky.
Corporate events, Festivals and Block Parties:
These parties need a special caterers permit acting as an agent for a BDL holder. We will work with you to make sure all the paperwork is filled out correctly and in a timely manner. We have found that most event planners already have this permit figured out through another caterer. At that point we can work as an agent under that permit.
Delivery of Alcohol:
Ever asked the friend of your best man to get the beer and he shows up with Bud Light that ran out half way through the wedding. That won't happen with us. We will work with you to order the correct amount of beverages. We can't sell the beer so we need to arrange a time for you to drop off alcohol to us so that we can deliver it to your event. We can also meet up at the event and serve the alcohol from you.
A few other notes:
Fully Certified
We have general liability insurance. This does not cover liquor liability. The venue or host will need to provide that. We can show you how easy it is to get that.

We suggest getting event insurance through K&K.
21 and over
Yes, you need to be over 21 to have alcoholic beverages.
Fully Insured
We are fully insured for anything that would happen at the party with our equipment. The host or venue will need to carry the Liquor Liability Insurance.

We suggest K&K for event insurance.
